Editorial Guidelines
We maintain high standards to ensure all content provides maximum value to our audience. Please review the following requirements before submitting your article.
We hold submissions to a real editorial bar. Please read before you write.
1. Topic & Focus
- Must be directly relevant to law, legal practice, litigation, legal technology, or ethics in the legal field.
- Written for one of two audiences: people with a practical legal problem, or attorneys/peers looking for substantive analysis of case law, legislation, or practice management.
- 100% original. Not published elsewhere before, and not republished elsewhere after.
2. Format & Accuracy
- 800 words minimum; 1,000–1,500 preferred.
- Short paragraphs (3–4 sentences), clear H2/H3 subheadings, and bullets where they aid scanning.
- Every legal claim, statistic, or case/statute reference must be accurate and hyperlinked to a primary or authoritative source.
- Professional but accessible tone — explain the law, don’t perform it.
3. Editorial Independence
- We will decline content designed primarily to influence search rankings rather than inform our readers.
- Direct promotion or advertising of your own services within the article body is not permitted.
4. Authority & Source Links
Every legal claim, statistic, or case/statute reference must link to a primary or authoritative source (government sites, court records, established news outlets, professional/medical associations).
5. Contributor Links
We recognize that contributing original expertise has real value, and we compensate that with visibility — not with link equity. Every accepted submission may include:
- A contextual link in the body is optional — it’s not necessary to add one. If you’d like to include one, it must sit naturally where it serves the reader — a citation, a source for a claim you’re making, a reference to your own case data or original research. It may not be inserted purely to hold a link. It must carry rel=”nofollow sponsored”, use your name, your firm’s name, or a natural descriptive phrase as anchor text (never a service-and-location keyword phrase like “Boston car accident lawyer”), and point to a relevant, non-promotional page — never a geo- or practice-area landing page built primarily to capture search traffic.
- One link in your author bio, tagged the same way, pointing to your firm’s homepage or your own professional profile.
These are the only two links permitted per submission. We apply a simple test during review: does the link serve the sentence, or was the sentence built to hold the link? Links that read as inserted — rather than earned by the point being made — will be removed before publication, and repeated submissions that push this line may be declined outright.
We tag every contributor link as sponsored because that’s what it is: content provided in exchange for a placement and visibility on our site. This keeps every submission compliant regardless of intent, and it’s also why we can offer this without reviewing each contributor’s backlink profile case by case.
How to Submit
- Draft your article following the guidelines above. Google Docs or Word format preferred.
- Write your bio. 50–80 words, your position in the law firm
- Email us at findattorneyshere@gmail.com with:
- Your full name and firm/title
- The finished article (attached or linked with edit/view access)
- Your author bio
