Description

Beginning in 1990, Mike attended law school at night while protecting the streets of New York City as a patrol supervisor with the NYPD. Before graduating from Fordham Law, Mike was transferred to the NYPD Legal Bureau, where he served as liaison with the New York City Law Department focusing on lawsuits involving unlawful use of force. Upon graduation, Mike took a leave of absence from the NYPD, and served as an assistant district attorney for Bronx County, where he prosecuted numerous criminal trials, evidentiary hearings, and grand jury presentations.

In 1997, Mike returned to the NYPD and joined the Department Advocate’s Special Prosecutions Office, an internal unit within the Department focused on the administrative prosecution of serious police misconduct and corruption. In 2000, Mike was promoted to the rank of police lieutenant, and was elevated to Supervisor of the Department Advocate’s Trial Division, which consisted of both former state prosecutors and police officer-attorneys.

Mike Retired from the NYPD in 2005 after twenty years of public service, and joined a small law firm in Westchester County. In August of 2008, Mike founded his own law firm based in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. Since leaving the NYPD, Mike has engaged in all aspects of criminal, personal injury, family and matrimonial practice, appearing in both state and federal courtrooms, at both the trial and appellate level, throughout the New York Metropolitan Area.
