New Mexico Court Registry

Description

New Mexico court records are made available to citizens in line with the New Mexico Public Records Act. Public records are usually made available to the public without requestors having to present a purpose of need. Official court records are kept in paper and electronic formats. To obtain a New Mexico court record, a requestor may:

  • Visit the local courthouse where the record is on file to obtain a copy of the court record
  • Mail the clerk of the court where the action was filed to request copies
  • Remotely access the New Mexico Courts website online to access case information of available court records.

To find the address of a local courthouse in the state, use the ‘Find a Court‘ tool on the New Mexico Judiciary website. Note, restricted or expunged court records may be unavailable to the public. Request to copy available court records may be subject to a fee.
