With Shields Law Firm, Kevin now serves children and families in special needs matters throughout Texas. As a general education teacher, Kevin fought for increased inclusion time for his kids receiving services; at staff meetings, he called out providers who missed sessions with his kids and was usually the dissenting voice at the IEP table. Kevin started to think that law school might make more sense for him.
Kevin began a federal practice with one of the country’s largest law firms. There, he handled scores of disability and discrimination cases, gained incredible legal experience, and met his future wife- also a lawyer.
We understand that navigating the special education process can be overwhelming and frustrating. Our mission is to help families get the best education possible for their children, while advocating for their rights.
