Sandy Phillips graduated cum laude from Stetson University College of Law in 2005, with a concentration in advocacy. Prior to graduating, she went to work for the State Attorney of the 12th Judicial District of Florida, and continued working there after passing the bar exam and becoming a fully licensed attorney. During her tenure at the State Attorney’s Office, Ms. Phillips prosecuted many different types of crimes including juvenile and domestic abuse cases.
In 2008, Ms. Phillips moved to East Tennessee and opened her law practice. She continued to practice criminal law, but from the defense side instead of the prosecution. She has handled everything from traffic tickets to murder charges. Ms. Phillips also began taking family law cases and developed a strong affinity for helping families and children.
