About Us

Kathleen Anderson is Board Certified in Criminal Law and Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Becoming Board Certified involves a strenuous application process, including, demonstrating years in practice, extensive trial and appellate experience, experience in dispute resolution, and positive judicial and peer reviews. If the application to sit for the Boards is granted, the applicant must pass an extensive six-hour exam. A small percentage of attorneys are successful in their attempt to become Board Certified. Only 1% of Texas attorneys are board certified in two or more areas. Kathleen Anderson is part of this small percentage of attorneys.

Kathleen and Alex Anderson work as team as criminal defense attorneys. As a team, Kathleen and Alex offer experience and perspective that cannot be achieved from just one attorney. Kathleen Anderson became Board Certified in Criminal Law in 2002 when she was a prosecutor for the Bastrop County District Attorney’s Office. She was also a prosecutor for the Bastrop County District Attorney’s Office. Kathleen has tried before a jury all degrees of felonies, including capital murder. Kathleen has never lost a jury-trial.
